Uno se eleva hacia el cielo y desaparece de la vista, representando una <em>serie convergente<\/em>. El otro arco se hunde en la bah\u00eda, representando una <em>serie divergente<\/em>. Estas bolas bordadas derivan de una forma de arte popular japon\u00e9s llamada <em>temari<\/em>. \u00bfPuede detectar la relaci\u00f3n num\u00e9rica que determina qu\u00e9 bolas son <em>temari<\/em>?  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item\"><details><summary class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__title\">Enfoque en\u2026 n\u00fameros primos gemelos<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contando hacia fuera desde la bola m\u00e1s grande de cada arco, los <em>temari<\/em> representan n\u00fameros primos que vienen por parejas. Estos pares, llamados <em>primos gemelos<\/em>, est\u00e1n separados num\u00e9ricamente por un valor de 2. Las bolas 3 y 5, las bolas 5 y 7 y las bolas 11 y 13 forman los tres primeros pares.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los matem\u00e1ticos especulan con que el n\u00famero de primos gemelos es infinito, aunque a\u00fan no se ha demostrado definitivamente.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item\"><details><summary class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__title has-background has-text-color has-primary-color\" style=\"background-color:#f4a811\">Arcos convergentes y divergentes<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__content\" style=\"border-color:#f4a811\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mathemalchemy.org\/2021\/02\/02\/converging-and-diverging-ball-arches\/\">Los dos arcos<\/a> demuestran la diferencia entre una serie convergente y una divergente. En cada uno de los Arcos, se pueden numerar las bolas desde el principio; la bola m\u00e1s grande (compartida) es la 1, seguida de la 2 (que tiene el mismo tama\u00f1o en ambos arcos, aunque las series tengan un comportamiento tan diferente), la 3 (ya un poco m\u00e1s peque\u00f1a en el Arco Convergente que en el Divergente), etc. Con esta numeraci\u00f3n, se comprueba f\u00e1cilmente que s\u00f3lo est\u00e1n bordadas las bolas con los n\u00fameros 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 29, 31, 41, 43, 59, 61, 71, 73. S\u00f3lo podemos ver las 100 primeras bolas en el arco divergente (en el arco convergente, podemos distinguir muchas menos; la bola n\u00famero 100 tiene un di\u00e1metro inferior a 0.0004&#8243; y no es visible); si pudi\u00e9ramos ver por debajo de la superficie del agua, entonces resultar\u00eda que las bolas 101 y 103 tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n bordadas. A escalas mucho mayores que en esta figura, surgen l\u00edneas y curvas en las que los n\u00fameros primos aparecen con mucha m\u00e1s frecuencia que en otras partes). La mayor\u00eda de los matem\u00e1ticos creen, aunque todav\u00eda no se ha demostrado en 2021, que existen infinitos pares de n\u00fameros primos gemelos. (Un resultado innovador de 2014, obra de Zhang, demuestra que, para un n\u00famero finito N, existen infinitos pares de n\u00fameros primos que est\u00e1n separados como m\u00e1ximo por un n\u00famero finito N.) Al principio, los valores de N que permit\u00edan una prueba irrefutable eran muy grandes; un gran <a href=\"http:\/\/asone.ai\/polymath\/index.php?title=Bounded_gaps_between_primes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">esfuerzo matem\u00e1tico colaborativo<\/a> redujo el valor a N=246. (Aunque existe una relaci\u00f3n: los s\u00f3lidos de Catalan son duales de los s\u00f3lidos arquimedianos). Como en esas otras tres familias, los poliedros de Catalan son convexos; a diferencia de ellos, no tienen caras que sean a su vez pol\u00edgonos regulares. Lo que los hace especiales es que en cada s\u00f3lido de Catalan todas las caras son pol\u00edgonos id\u00e9nticos (lo que no ocurre en los poliedros de Johnson o incluso en los arquimedianos). Hay 13 s\u00f3lidos de Catalan; cada uno de ellos est\u00e1 ilustrado por uno (o dos) de los patrones de bordado elegidos para las 15 bolas bordadas visibles en el arco divergente; sus hermanos m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os en el arco convergente lucen el mismo patr\u00f3n con una permutaci\u00f3n de los colores del bordado.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta tabla ilustra la correspondencia entre los s\u00f3lidos catalanes y los bordados temari; las dos \u00faltimas bolas bordadas (71 y 73) muestran repeticiones de s\u00f3lidos catalanes ilustrados
