Nuestras ideas, aparentemente inagotables, estaban motivadas por la teor\u00eda de nudos y el entrelazamiento. Sin embargo, todos los tipos de Matem\u00e1ticas eran bienvenidos a sumergirse en el entorno acu\u00e1tico de las islas. Hab\u00eda o\u00eddo hablar del descubrimiento de un antiguo ordenador hac\u00eda a\u00f1os, mientras resid\u00eda en Grecia. El misterio y la conexi\u00f3n con la astronom\u00eda me engancharon al instante. Fue el tema de conversaci\u00f3n durante una sesi\u00f3n de playa cuando unos amigos encontraron ruedas y urnas desgastadas por el tiempo mientras buceaban. Dejamos volar nuestra imaginaci\u00f3n con las preguntas de d\u00f3nde, c\u00f3mo y qu\u00e9 \u00e9poca planteaban los objetos encontrados.       <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:70px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"alignwide has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Antikythera_mechanism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mecanismo de Anticitera<\/a>: una sugerencia inspiradora<\/h3>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-7387b849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cuando Ingrid sugiri\u00f3 tener el <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Antikythera_mechanism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mecanismo de Anticitera<\/a> en alg\u00fan lugar de la <a href=\"https:\/\/mathemalchemy.org\/2022\/01\/11\/math-connections-knotical\/\">Bah\u00eda de Nudos<\/a>, me lanc\u00e9 por la oportunidad de recrear uno. Hoy en d\u00eda abundan la informaci\u00f3n y las fotograf\u00edas de las piezas. Ahora se sabe mucho m\u00e1s sobre estas profundas reliquias, ya que los cient\u00edficos han avanzado mucho en el conocimiento de las capacidades del dispositivo s\u00f3lo en los \u00faltimos dos wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Con entusiasmo, aunque con muchas dudas, abord\u00e9 la fabricaci\u00f3n de la pieza, pregunt\u00e1ndome qu\u00e9 materiales utilizar. Los bocetos y la experimentaci\u00f3n con diversos materiales acabaron dando paso al uso de arcilla polim\u00e9rica.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A continuaci\u00f3n, me centr\u00e9 en hacer el \u00abFragmento A\u00bb; la pieza recuperada m\u00e1s prominente y reconocible. Estir\u00e9 finas capas de arcilla y trac\u00e9 la forma del mecanismo con una cuchilla de afeitar. Coloqu\u00e9 una capa sobre otra, y luego tall\u00e9 y esculp\u00ed la pieza a semejanza del artefacto original lo mejor que pude. Tras cocer la arcilla, pint\u00e9 p\u00e1tinas y sombras para mostrar parte del funcionamiento interno y la antig\u00fcedad del artefacto.
