Form\u00f3 parte del dise\u00f1o de Dominique desde el principio. Incluso en la primera maqueta a escala \u215b, presentada en la Reuni\u00f3n Matem\u00e1tica Conjunta de 2020, ya se puede reconocer el quilt de Criptograf\u00eda en tonos azules y blancos, con su gran candado central. (En cambio, el reverso, que acabar\u00eda convirti\u00e9ndose en la Gran P\u00e1gina Garabatos, fue uno de los \u00faltimos componentes en \u00abcuajar\u00bb).   <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div en su primer lugar de exposici\u00f3n, en el edificio insignia de la Academia Nacional de Ciencias de EEUU, en Washington DC, la instalaci\u00f3n Mathemalchemy fascin\u00f3 a Gilles Brassard, uno de los nuevos Miembros Internacionales de la NAS que se incorporaron en abril del 22. Pas\u00f3 horas descubriendo muchos aspectos de la instalaci\u00f3n, y le encant\u00f3 descubrir que la directora art\u00edstico de Mathemalchemy, Dominique Ehrmann, era compatriota de Quebec. Cuando expres\u00f3 su pesar por el hecho de que el quilt no contuviera ning\u00fan panel sobre criptograf\u00eda cu\u00e1ntica, Dominique se ofreci\u00f3 a explorar la posibilidad de a\u00f1adir un quiltito que incluyera la criptograf\u00eda cu\u00e1ntica.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el avi\u00f3n de vuelta a Montreal, Gilles esboz\u00f3 para Dominique un dibujo realizado por su colaborador Charles Bennett, que ilustraba de forma l\u00fadica el algoritmo cu\u00e1ntico para la distribuci\u00f3n segura de claves que Gilles y Charles hab\u00edan dise\u00f1ado juntos. Dominique consult\u00f3 a los dem\u00e1s miembros del grupo Criptoquilt; despu\u00e9s de que estuvieran de acuerdo con que a\u00f1adiera un quiltito sobre este nuevo tema criptogr\u00e1fico, siguieron varios meses de discusi\u00f3n entre Gilles, Charles, Dominique e Ingrid Daubechies; esta \u00faltima acab\u00f3 haciendo un modelo virtual en 3D para encontrar el mejor \u00e1ngulo de visi\u00f3n para Dominique.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una vez aprobado el dibujo por todas las partes, incluidas las ranas vivas y alertas, saltarinas o no, Dominique confeccion\u00f3 la nueva colcha peque\u00f1a. Le quedaban suficientes trozos de tela (de la fabricaci\u00f3n de todos los dem\u00e1s bloques del Criptoquilt, y tambi\u00e9n del borde de hojas para el reverso) para que funcionara.
